Eat Chat Play is an independent paediatric speech, language and feeding therapy service founded by Chelsea Ridge — a specialist speech and language therapist and feeding expert based in Berkshire.

We support children aged 0–10 and their families with a range of feeding and communication needs, offering bespoke assessments, therapy, training and consultancy. Whether you're a parent with a concern or a professional seeking specialist input, we're here to help.

EAT 🍽️

We specialise in supporting children with paediatric feeding difficulties, including weaning support, fussy eating therapy, and paediatric dysphagia (swallowing difficulties). If mealtimes are a struggle — whether your baby is just starting solids or your toddler refuses most foods — we can help you find a way forward.

CHAT 💬

We offer expert speech and language therapy for children with a wide range of communication needs, including speech delays, late talking, understanding and using language, attention and listening, and social communication. Sessions are tailored to your child and always delivered in a way that feels natural and fun.

PLAY 🧸

Play is at the heart of everything we do. Whether we're supporting a child with feeding difficulties or helping a toddler find their words, a play-based approach underpins every session — because children learn best when they're having fun.

VIEW OUR SERVICES

We had been concerned about our son's speech delay for some time and were reluctant to wait any longer and see if things improved by themselves. Chelsea assessed him, put a plan in place and we immediately felt reassured. Over the next 8 months she visited him at his nursery regularly, working alongside us and the nursery team, keeping us updated on his progress and setting targets for us all to work towards.

The transformation has been incredible. He has grown in confidence and even just watching him interact with other children is a delight. He starts primary school in a few months and we are now no longer worried he will be behind his peers. There are still a few areas to improve on but we are worlds away from where we started.

We are so relieved that we didn't just wait and see and that we looked for a speech and language therapist. Chelsea was recommended to us and we're so happy she was. She's very friendly, approachable and our son would look forward to his sessions with her, which was key.
