About Chelsea:

Chelsea Ridge is a paediatric speech and language therapist specialising in feeding and pre-school communication and language development. She is also the founder of eat chat play.

 

​Chelsea is from Ireland but moved to London and qualified from City University with a BSc in Speech and Language Therapy in 2014. Chelsea also holds a PGDip in paediatrics and child health from Imperial University London and a diploma in child nutrition. Chelsea is trained in the SOS approach to feeding therapy and a SOFFI certified professional. In addition, she has done additional training in Makaton, Hanen and Elklan.

Chelsea currently works part time for a large private London hospital alongside her independent work. Chelsea is passionate about offering support that is tailored to the individuals needs and targeted to support their goals. Chelsea offers a child centred approach, which is compassionate and non-judgemental. As a parent herself, Chelsea recognises the desire for best possible outcomes for the children she supports and works closely with parents/ carers to attain these.   

 

Chelsea is a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), and Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).
